Fragments of Her by Elena Zaharia | Saatchi Art

“Fragments of Her” is one of my most personal explorations of modern femininity. I created this piece to capture the beautiful complexity of the female spirit—strong yet vulnerable, chaotic yet harmonious. This is an original Pop Art portrait that doesn’t just sit on a wall; it commands the entire room.

The Artistic Narrative

In this work, I used a mix of vibrant acrylics and sharp graphic lines to mirror the “fragments” that make us who we are. The subject’s piercing gaze is designed to meet yours, while the flowing, multicolored hair represents the constant motion of our thoughts and resilience.

I chose to work with layers of dripping paint and energetic splashes of red, yellow, and blue to give the portrait a sense of “living” energy. It is a celebration of individuality—a reminder that even when we feel fragmented, we are still a complete and beautiful story.

Exhibition History: Alpharetta, Georgia

I was honored to have this piece exhibited at Avalon in Alpharetta, GA. Its debut in the Georgia art scene allowed collectors to experience the scale and emotional intensity of the work in person, marking a significant milestone in my international journey.

Design & Interior Impact

As a large-scale figurative painting, “Fragments of Her” is designed as a statement piece. It is perfect for:

  • Modern Lofts: To add a splash of sophisticated color.

  • Luxury Homes: As a bold conversation starter in a living or dining area.

  • Gallery Walls: For collectors who value contemporary, expressive Pop Art.
